Currency Converter

What it does

A free currency converter covering 15 major currencies. Rates are pulled live from the European Central Bank via the Frankfurter API and refresh each business day. If the service is ever unreachable, the tool falls back to stored reference rates so you still get an answer.

Mid-market rates are what you’ll see on Google or a financial ticker — the reference number between buyers and sellers. The rate you actually pay at a bank, card, or remittance service is usually 1–3% worse. For travel or a rough estimate, mid-market is fine. For larger transactions, compare against the quote your provider gives you.

How to use it

1. Enter the amount in the From currency.
2. Pick From and To currencies — or press ⇄ to swap them.
3. Override the rate if your provider quoted a different number.
4. Read the converted amount and the rate used.
